San Diego Mamacita Mixer

On Sunday, March 8th we hosted an intimate networking mixer in San Diego. We chose this date so that we could celebrate International Women’s Day surrounded by other amazing women. Our Los Angeles team reunited with Ruby to bring our new project “Mamacita Mixer” to life. We are no strangers to organizing socials and networking events that encourage building meaningful relationships but our goal is that these smaller gatherings will encourage more of you to join us!

The day started off rainy and we were a little thrown off by the time change but the entire production could not have gone better! For the location, we chose Surf Rider Pizza in La Mesa. It’s located on a street with other restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques. As event organizers, with a focus on building meaningful relationships, we put thought into every detail. We chose this location for a few reasons, one of them being to give our attendees the opportunity to continue their conversations after the event was over. If you connect with someone at our event, we want you to have easy access and plenty of opportunities to keep engaging.

Our agenda was super casual too. We started with a short mindfulness exercise guided by Diana Bamford, a San Diego based Maternal Mental Health Advocate, Postpartum Energy Healer, and Yoga Instructor. While the exercise was meant to be simple, it was very powerful and brought tears to many eyes. Our team then proceeded with short networking exercise with prompts. This is one of our favorites and gets even the shyest person in the room going.

Part of our signature touches is to curate a Mamacita Market for all of our events, because this Mamacita Mixer was meant to be intimate, we only chose two San Diego mompreneurs to set up shop. In fact, it was Soulfully Creating’s first time as a vendor!

We ended our San Diego Mamacita Mixer with raffles and by handing out swagbag to all of our attendees. We have some amazing sponsors and are truly thankful for the trust that they give us by allowing us to introduce their products to our community!
