Manifesting a Mamacita Mixer with a special guest: Bad x Bonita
Do you believe in the power of manifesting? Manifesting is using the power of our own thoughts and desires to make a goal come true. Earlier in 2022, we decided that we would take a break from events and would only plan our next mixer if the universe sent us sponsors and collaborators that could assist us in making it happen. A lot goes into these events and it’s hard AF! If we haven’t mentioned it before, the little things are our jam but it can definitely get overwhelming. Anyway, back to the power of manifesting! The universe said, say less and within a few days we heard from Kim Guerra, the mujer behind Bad x Bonita, a brand and movement centered around inspiring and empowering Mujeres to give themselves wings through revolutionary self love reached out! She was interested in a collaboration and of course we had to say yes! We had already been in contact with a sponsor regarding materials and this was the sign to move forward.
Next up, is our very generous sponsor Bazic Products. Our vision was to create a space for women to have fun yet practice self-care in a fun not so obvious way. Bazic Products specializes in office and school supplies but to our surprise they also had a lot of awesome materials that we used at the Mamacita Mixer. KIm led a powerful poetic exercise and our mamacitas used journals, pens and vibrant markers sponsored by Bazic Products to bring their poems to life.
THE VENUE! Let’s talk about the venue! We’ve been wanting to host a mixer at El Gallo Grill since 2017! That’s five years on our wishlist. This is a hidden gem in the heart of East Los Angeles and a must try! They serve delicious grilled food and their signature sangria is so refreshing. Their back patio is the perfect location for get togethers, showers, celebrations and more. We were thrilled to finally have the opportunity to host here and to introduce this family owned business to the rest of the mamacita community.
Sweet Breeze Creations had also reached out about sponsoring a backdrop for one of our events. At the time, we didn’t have anything planned but when things started lining up for us we got back to her and luckily she was available to make something beautiful for us on this date. She was on time, friendly and we were so happy to invite her to stay as our guest.
The space created on this day for all of these wonderful women was indescribable. They got in touch with their inner child through coloring books, practiced self-love at the gift of yourself flower station, gave others words of affirmation through a soap gifting activity and much more!
A huge thank you to everyone who showed up to this Mamacita Mixer- you showed up for yourself and we hope that this got you closer to manifesting your dreams! Thanks again to our wonderful day of team, Gaby, Yesica and Brenda for supporting us on this day and always!
