Instant Family: Friends Giving Event

L.A Mamacitas enjoys giving back and creating opportunities for the women who are part of this community. When approached about organizing an event to celebrate the up-coming release of Instant Family, we knew that it would be the perfect time (literally and figuratively) to give back to those who deserve it the most.

We celebrated by getting in the holiday spirit and decorating holiday ornaments and wrapping gifts for children in foster care. L.A Mamacitas will be donating these gifts to local foster care agencies.

We encourage you to give back to foster children this holiday season too! Organizing a friends giving event is pretty easy!

  1. Set a date and a two hour slot

  2. Invite 10 of your closest friends and ask them to each bring 2 gifts and a roll of wrapping paper

  3. Search for a foster agency to donate gifts to

That’s it! As the host you should have tables, tape, scissors, light snacks and some fun music in the background.

Synopsis:

When Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15 year old girl (Isabela Moner), they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. Now, Pete and Ellie must hilariously try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hopes of becoming a family. INSTANT FAMILY is inspired by the real events from the life of writer/director Sean Anders and also stars Octavia Spencer, Tig Notaro and Margo Martindale.

Instant Family out on theaters November 16th
